Pokerstars: Deprived of its dream to integrate the American online poker market

Since a few weeks, it’s the sulfurous case opposing the giant of online poker PokerStars to Atlantic Club which is in focus in the world of poker and casino. If the two protagonists had each their time to present their arguments and respective means of defenses, the Judge of New Jersey released on last Friday his verdict, a judgment definitely favorable to the defendant party.

The dream of PokerStars to integrate the American online poker market will not take life. In spite of the payment of the $ 11 million out of the $ 15 million to the Atlantic Club casino, the poker room with the red spade sees the refusing of its demand to pursue the sale of this casino in New Jersey. Since the proposition of purchasing the Club by PokerStars, the American Gaming Association (AGA) opposed ardently, arguing that the purchaser is a disloyal operator and should not have any access to online gambling in the United States. Nevertheless, the environment of online casino and poker in general remains attentive to any other recourse which PokerStars could lead.
